wife's sister in law?
[edit]What does it mean that Kalina Jędrusik was his wife's sister in law? In my understanding of familial relations as they are expressed in America in English my wife's sister in law is my sister in law, but for example my brother in law's wife's sister is no relation of either my wife or myself. Better to actually explain this relationship than to invent an unknown and confusing term.Conscientia (talk) 14:57, 16 October 2018 (UTC)
Unfortunately, this edit almost single handedly compromised this article's featured status. It completely erased any possibility of WP:Verifiability, and instantly failed criteria 1c and 2c of WP:FACRITERIA... I will attempt to read these references, though the biography has been changed enough that it will not be so straight forward. Aza24 (talk) 22:30, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Aza24: - Good work on restoring this so far, it had to be a major effort. Some further comments, as requested on my talk page:
- "Of these, his best known works are his four symphonies, the Concerto for Orchestra (1954), the song cycle Twenty Polish Christmas Carols (1946), and a cello concerto (1970)." - is this in the body? It's in the lead, but I'm not finding it elsewhere
- "and Dance Preludes (1955), which he described as a "farewell to folklore"" - this should probably be added to the body if significant, or nixed from the lead if not
- Atonal seems to be only mentioned in the lead
- The source for note 1 is unreliable
- A few of those awards aren't either cited directly or supported in the body
I don't have the time (and maybe the skill) to really give this a detailed prose look right now, but the sourcing is much improved. This is looking like this should be one that with a little more work can be polished off and marked as satisfactory. Hog Farm Talk 04:30, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
- Hog Farm, thanks so much for taking a look!—I believe all these points are addressed. Would you feel comfortable marking this as satisfactory? If so, I will go ahead and do so as well. Aza24 (talk) 17:38, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Aza24: - Excellent save of this one! Marking as satisfactory. Hog Farm Talk 02:26, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
- Aza24 are you OK with my edits? [1] I thought some of the language flowery and verging off-topic, and fixed some nbsps. If we're good here, I can mark Satisfactory. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 21:45, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
- Yes SandyGeorgia, they are improvements for sure! Aza24 (talk) 21:49, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
